Annual General Meeting

AGM - Committee Positions Avaliable

We are currently looking to recruit new members to our committee in the following roles:

  • Publicity Officer
  • Stage 1 rep
  • Stage 2/3 rep
  • Collaboration Officer
  • QI & Audit Lead
  • Treasurer (to cover maternity leave)

We currently have two ongoing projects:

  • Writing up our PODS survey, which ran nationally from August to September 2024.
  • Organizing a Pain and Research Conference in Birmingham, planned for June this year.

We are particularly looking for people enthusiastic about writing, publishing, and presenting the PODS survey. We also welcome applicants interested in helping with the organization of the Annual Pain and Research Conference.

Committee Roles Available

Publicity Officer

  • Manage the Pain Train UK social media account on ‘X’.
  • Develop PR strategies to promote Pain Train UK and its initiatives.
  • Create and edit promotional content for articles and social media.
  • Help organize and manage events such as conferences and open days.

Collaboration Officer

  • Foster a collaborative culture through open communication.
  • Lead initiatives requiring cross-functional collaboration.
  • Work closely with the team planning the Pain and Research Conference.

Stage 1 Representative

  • Establish communication with Stage 1 resident doctors interested in pain medicine and research.
  • Represent their needs and views in Pain Train UK committee meetings.

Stage 2/3 Representative

  • Establish communication with Stage 2/3 resident doctors interested in pain medicine and research.
  • Represent their needs and views in Pain Train UK committee meetings.

QI and Audit Lead

  • Lead and manage quality improvement projects.
  • Coordinate audits, plan execution, and follow up on findings.
  • Analyze and report data to identify areas for improvement.

Treasurer (Maternity Leave Cover)

  • Oversee financial operations, budgeting, and financial planning.
  • Manage cash flow and financial obligations.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the committee.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws.
